Proof of Dance
Her ongoing painting series, “Proof of Dance,” invites dancers of many backgrounds, identities, and experiences to perform on a canvas, translating their movement into a painting. Through the process along with the workshop and research components of the project, they are redefining dance outside of the societal expectation and limitations traditionally placed on dancers.
The Collective
An original play written and directed by Megan Raab, Dylan Erdelyi, and Sarah Ford. The play follows a group of artists in the fiction year 2049, in a war torn version of the United States where art is severely censored. The community must unite to decide if they want to take action against the looming threat of totalitarianism and colonial expansion.
The play is interactive, and piloted Gameotics voting software in live theatre. Raab and Eredlyi under the guidance of Dr. Wendy Heath conducted research on audience agency and engagement through the play. Their research was presented at the American Psychological Associated Conference in 2023.
An original play written by Megan Raab. Selected for presentation in the Rider University New Works Festival 2020, where it was directed and converted to film by Dylan Erdelyi, when the festival transitioned online due to the outbreak of Covid.
The show explores the idea of physical touch through a series of dialogue, dance, and image. Since the original production, Raab has facilitated interactive workshops with various communities to explore the themes on a deeper level and step into the world on the play through movement.
